Connecting those who produce our food to those who consume it.

The majority of Americans have never visited a farm or ranch, and have little to no knowledge about farming or ranching. I know. I used to be one of them.

The majority of Americans have never visited a farm or ranch, and have little to no knowledge about farming or ranching. I know. I used to be one of them.

Now as a dairy cattle veterinarian, I have a strong appreciation for modern agriculture. Three out of five farmers and ranchers believe consumers don’t understand modern agriculture. Are you one of those three? What are you doing about it?

While we can all agree consumers are disconnected from agriculture, it’s time to recognize that farmers and ranchers are just as disconnected from consumers. It’s time to do more.

I’ll show your audience the importance of connecting agriculture and consumers. The importance of connecting farms to plates. The importance of connecting humans to other humans.

Focused on being both inspirational and action-oriented, audiences will get a fresh perspective on their business and their industry. Changing perceptions and forging stronger connections will bring more people to agriculture, improve accuracy of legislative discussions, allow people to make more informed food choices, and shape a more sustainable and positive future for agriculture.

Dr. Michelle Schack

About Michelle

Dr. Michelle Schack, the DairyDoc, is a dairy veterinarian, and social media content creator, and a highly sought after speaker.

She has helped dairy professionals and emerging agricultural leaders gain confidence in themselves and leverage their connections to create a positive and sustainable future. She grew up in Silicon Valley in California and fell in love with dairy cows during her schooling at University of California, Davis, where she received her undergraduate and her veterinary degree. As a result of years as a suburban kid, followed by years as a dairy veterinarian, she discovered that people in agriculture are isolated: from each other, and from consumers.

Dr. Michelle Schack rose as a social media content creator educating people about dairy farming and this ignited a passion in her. Combined with her experience and desire to help connect agriculture and consumers, she took to the stage with the goal of reaching as many people as possible with her message: it is time to connect the disconnect. Today, her talks will help people change their perspective and highlight the importance of bridging the gap within and beyond the agriculture industry.

If you are looking for someone to transform your event attendees and empower them to connect with others, Dr. Michelle is the answer for your next event.

Talk One

Enhancing dairy sustainability through animal and human well-being

Sustainability in agriculture isn’t just about the environment—it’s about people, animals, and the connections that drive progress. In this keynote, Dr. Michelle Schack, co-founder of DairyKind and known as "Dairy Doc" online, explores how human and animal well-being are essential to building a more sustainable future.

Through real-world experiences—from farm life to unexpected lessons learned on a Disneyland ride—Dr. Schack demonstrates how understanding human behavior, fostering empathy, and embracing collaboration lead to better outcomes for both animals and people. This talk challenges conventional thinking, offering fresh perspectives on how problem-solving and connection can reduce frustration, improve efficiency, and strengthen the agricultural community.

By shifting the focus from rigid protocols to practical solutions, we can create a future where sustainability isn’t just an aspiration—it’s a reality.

Talk Two

Cow care, consumer connection, and content creation on the farm

In this talk, Dr. Michelle, the DairyDoc online, will help you discover your ability to create content on the farm. Explore how caring for cows and connecting with consumers can be the foundation for creating engaging content. The audience will be challenged to think outside of the box about what content creation means to you, and find ways to foster connection in their own way.

Talk Three

Outnumbered, Not Outshined: Finding Your Light in Agriculture

Women in agriculture may be outnumbered, but they are not outshined. This talk challenges the traditional narrative of agriculture as a male-dominated field and redefines success by valuing diverse contributions. Using relatable analogies—like the importance of the less-dominant hand—and personal stories, it highlights the power of perspective, self-worth, and resilience.

The discussion explores barriers women face, from comparison to invisible struggles, and emphasizes that true success comes from embracing strengths rather than mirroring men’s roles. Through teamwork, creativity, and adaptability, women in agriculture are shaping the future. This talk serves as a reminder to own their roles, recognize their value, and shine in an industry that needs them.

Talk Four

Find Your Fit in Agriculture

Agriculture is more than just farming—it’s an industry driven by innovation, science, and a deep connection to feeding the world. Yet, many who didn’t grow up in agriculture feel like outsiders looking in, questioning whether they truly belong. In this inspiring talk, Dr. Michelle Schack shares her own journey into food animal medicine, proving that passion, curiosity, and a willingness to learn matter far more than background.

She explores the challenges and advantages of entering agriculture from a non-traditional path, the power of mentorship and community, and the diverse opportunities available in the industry. By embracing the learning curve, asking the right questions, and finding where your strengths align, anyone can make an impact in agriculture. Whether you're a student, a young professional, or simply exploring your place in the industry, this talk will empower you to step forward with confidence, knowing that agriculture has a place for you.
